Lori Deliso, Market Manager
Lori
Deliso is one of the co-founders of The Lexington Farmers’
Market. She and her husband David Jick are Lexington residents and are
owners of
Dave’s Fresh Pasta shop in
Somerville Ma., where Lori has been teaching kids about the joys of
cooking and eating for several years now! Lori oversees daily
operations of the market, and co-chairs the
Kids
Cooking Green program with Liza Connolly.
Behind the Scenes
Doug Cohen
Doug Cohen has been keeping the Lexington Farmers’ Market on the road
to financial health since its inception in 2005. He is a consulting CFO
who works with smaller businesses to meet their financial needs. With
his background and experience, Doug was the perfect fit to work with
market managers to set up an accounting system that could easily be
understood and still keep the IRS happy. He continues to support the
market by training bookkeepers, advising on financial matters, and
reviewing the accounts, all with a great deal of patience and good
humor. Doug resides in Lexington with his wife Janine and daughter Beth.
Liza Connolly, Vendor Liaison
Liza has been offering her knowledge of food and experience as a chef
since the Market's opening in 2005. Liza provided original recipes for
the Market, all featuring ingredients available at the LFM. After a
successful pilot program to include the Farmers' Market into the
"Dinner Party Project" at the Bridge School last fall, Liza and
co-chair Lori Deliso have started "
Kids Cooking Green" as
an
educational outreach program of the Lexington Farmers' Market. Along
with Lori and Leslie Wilcott-Henrie, Liza is also a co-manager of the
Farmer and
Vendor participation at the Lexington Farmers' Market.
Leslie Wilcott-Henrie, Vendor Liaison, Writer, Photographer
You can usually find Leslie behind her camera at the Market...many of
our photos, including this one of herself, were taken by Leslie! Leslie
has offered many of her other talents to the Market too, such as
writing and editing articles for the newspaper, adding more recipes and
organizing tremendously successful
"What's for Dinner?"
Market Days each year. Leslie is also a co-manager of the
Farmer and Vendor
participation at the Market.
