Black Eyed Susan Sheep Dairy

Black-Eyed Susan Sheep Dairy is New Hampshire’s newest sheep dairy. Located in the small town of Mont Vernon, they have over fifty milking ewes producing gallons of milk to make into delicious cheeses, yogurt, and ice cream. The dairy makes several types of fresh cheese including Feta, Brebis, and Ricotta and several aged cheeses, principally Manchego, Ossau-Iraty, Tomme, and Asiago.  The sheep have access to more than thirty acres of pasture and more acres of woodland for shade, and the farm follows organic practices but is not certified. They are open for tours and invite people to meet the sheep and see how they create the food to sell locally and at farmers’ markets.  They will be offering their cheeses, as well as duck eggs, goose eggs and lamb.

Fran and his family have farmed for more than 100 years. A local family-owned farm, over generations the Busa family has expanded and diversified the produce they grow. Busa Farm grows high-quality fruits, vegetables and cut flowers in fields in Lexington, Littleton, Sterling, Harvard and South Chelmsford. An exciting addition for the 2022 season are three greenhouses in South Chelmsford, including a hydroponic greenhouse growing specialty herbs and greens!

Copicut Farms

Copicut Farms is a family-owned, 65-acre livestock farm located in Dartmouth, Mass. They provide the community with pasture-raised poultry, pork, lamb, and eggs while treating their animals and the environment with the utmost respect and care. All of their animals are raised outdoors, and have constant access to chemical-free pastures where they are free to forage for grass, legumes, and insects throughout all but the harshest winter months. In addition, they operate their own state-licensed on-farm poultry slaughtering facility. This allows them to maintain an extremely high level of food safety and ensure that their animals are treated in the most humane manner possible throughout all stages of their lives.

Straight from France, Dominique Perrin at Crêpe du Jour prepares authentic sweet and savory French crêpes made to order with homemade fillings and beautiful healthy vegetables from local farmers’ markets. With vegetarian and gluten free options available, Crêpe du Jour offers a mix of street food crepes and more sophisticated buckwheat savory crepes from Brittany.

Farmer Dave’s

Farmer Dave’s is a diversified farm north of Boston that responsibly grows a myriad of vegetables and fruits.  Along with a CSA offering, Farmer Dave’s operates farm stands in Dracut, Tewksbury and Westford and participates in many local farmers’ markets. At the home farm in Dracut, Farmer Dave’s has an ever-expanding pick your own program as well as school tours to introduce multiple generations to farming in New England. Farmer Dave’s mission is growing healthy food, building strong community and creating lifelong traditions.

After returning from the Peace Corps in 1997, Dave began farming in the Merrimack Valley while continuing to teach and consult farmers in the Republic of Georgia, Ethiopia and Tajikistan. Farmer Dave has worked with many farmers across the globe with the purpose of teaching how to improve soil and crop health as well as irrigation methods.

Rene Becker opened Hi-Rise in 1996 with a crew of six, big ideas, and a simple goal: to make staple homey foods better than home-made. He started with bread — using organic wheat, rye, and corn from independent mills — and soon moved to pastries, incorporating extra-rich European-style butter and local fruits for pies and tarts. In store, they offer soups and sandwiches, dinners sold fresh and frozen, from pot pies and stews to lasagnas with house-made pasta. House Bear Brewing

House Bear Brewing makes dry, crisp, light mead & cider. They have been making mead as a company since 2013, using raw and unfiltered honey to make award-winning mead. Cider is a new addition but made with the same care as the mead. Their brews are dry and light. House Bear Brewing will happily help customers find their favorite flavor!

Originally operated as a dairy farm, Kelley Farm now specializes in the production of Certified Organic Asian vegetables. Merton’s Maple Syrup

Located five miles from the village of Putney, Vermont, Merton Maple Syurp’s sugarhouse is 150 years old and produces on average 1,500 gallons of maple syrup every Spring. Although there are many innovations in the sugarhouse, Tim Merton still boils with wood cut from the thinning of the sugar bush. This self-sustaining system has been practiced for several hundred years by New England sugar-makers.

River Rock Farm raises beef cattle on pasture with room to roam freely, where they graze on fresh grass with free access to hay in the winter. The animals are raised without the use of hormones or antibiotics and have access to fresh water pumped from the well through an underground plumbing system. River Rock finishes their animals on a limited amount of GMO-free corn which cattle are able to eat as they choose, while still kept in pasture and provided grass as the bulk of their diet. All of their cuts are dry-aged for approximately thirty days for unparalleled flavor and tenderness. This creates the best tasting, well-marbled beef possible. Sueños Artisanal Chocolates is a direct importer of organic, shade-grown cacao from the Nueva Esperanza Organic Farmers Cooperative in Puerto Quito, Ecuador. They use Nueva Esperanza Cacao to make small-batch vegan dark chocolate bars with a variety of dried fruits, nuts and seeds. Nueva Esperanza farms are committed to growing only Ecuador’s finest ‘Nacional’ variety heirloom cacao trees, which are world-renowned for their exceptional aromas and flavors, and lack of bitterness.
