In 2007, the Lexington Farmers’ Market began welcoming local artisans to the weekly summer market. Our community of talented local artists bring a welcome energy to the LFM market and offer a variety of work, from jewelry and ceramics to fiber-arts and hand-crafted furniture. All items available at the LFM are locally crafted or created by the artisan, in keeping with the LFM’s mission as a producer-only farmers’ market. We invite you to stop by the market and view the work of these creative and talented individuals!
Artisans are welcome to apply and join the market. Visit the Market Community page to learn how.

Forest of Bliss Studio
Forest of Bliss Studio is an artistic endeavor by me, Laurelyn Roberts (formerly the ButterGirl of ButterGirl Baking), to explore practical printmaking and share my work with others – a great source of encouragement to keep creating. I make kitchen art towels, table runners, tees, cloth napkins, and more, all machine washable. I was inspired to explore block printing after trips to India introduced me to the long, rich tradition of hand block printing in colorful and intricate designs by the artisans of Rajasthan and beyond. My designs are hand-printed using my own hand-carved motifs, influenced by traditional Indian designs as well as natural, musical, geometric, and modern design elements.

Nicobar Isle
Lavanya Coodly founded her namesake luxury womenswear label in 2014. Inspired by her love of sophisticated urban landscapes and tranquil countryside, the label combines romanticism with timeless design and a modern aesthetic. Always in love with fashion and garment making, Lavanya designed her first dress at the age of seven from blue lace fabric gifted to her by her mother. Self-taught from an early age, Lavanya came to appreciate fine hand-craftsmanship and clothing that is functional, beautifully constructed, and dreamy. Each special design is thoughtfully created from a sketch that is edited and revised to meet her stringent requirements for the perfect silhouette, fit, and comfort. To minimize waste, clothing is made to order and the leftover fabric is re-purposed into usable items. Designed in New York City, the Lavanya Coodly label employs talent in the metropolis that she has called home since 1992.
