These include promoting healthy eating and lifestyle, local food, food equity and sustainability. Communities United Inc.

COMMUNITIES UNITED INC.(CUI) operates three Head Start programs serving Lexington and surrounding towns, giving preschool children and families an opportunity to experience growth in an environment that encourages participation in a full range of developmentally appropriate activities. They strive to increase the ability of children and families to cope with and initiate change in their lives, working to meet the needs of a culturally and economically diverse community while building upon the gains made through their experiences. Lexington at Home is an inclusive support network that enriches the lives of independent Lexington Seniors by creating opportunities to socialize, lending one another a helping hand in a pinch, and sharing our collective knowledge of available resources.

Lexington Goes Purple

Lexington Goes Purple is Lexington’s annual awareness and fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Association. The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide and 12 locations in our region, this inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions.
