Boston Truck Farmer

Farmer Charlie of RadUrban Farming has decided to use his older model Ford truck to plan a micro farm in its bed.  In 2010, the guys that produced the documentary film King Corn planted one in their Dodge and parked it in Brooklyn, NY.  This led to another documentary about growing produce in their truck and their visits to cool urban farm sites.

This year, the idea has been expanded to a fleet of 25 old trucks scattered across the country, with Farmer Charlie hosting the Boston truck.  He’ll be visiting 25 Boston-area sites throughout the season and on June 28 is parking his truck at the Lexington Farmers Market.  Stop by to check out his traveling farm.
