When you visit the summer market, you’ll find a diverse selection of items, with all you need from breakfast to dessert and everything in between. Ackermann Maple Farm

Specialty Foods

Ian and Caitlin Ackermann, along with their 3 young children, have been making maple syrup on their land since 2013. While they started out with 3,000 trees as first generation sugarmakers, they’ve since grown to tapping 18,000 trees and owning 150 acres. They use a wood fire to boil their sap, and package in glass bottles.

Art Cooks is a Boston food business, founded in Lexington by Emilia & Arthur, a Venezuelan family, focused on bringing authentic Latin flavors in a healthy and simple way. They prepare handmade meals using fresh, local ingredients, inspired by our family recipes. Their food is naturally gluten-free and made without additives. At the Lexington Farmers Market, they offer a selection of fresh and frozen meals, including soups, slow-cooked proteins, and their signature Venezuelan arepas, designed to make everyday meals easier and more enjoyable.

Blackeyed Susan’s Sheep Dairy

Blackeyed Susan’s Sheep Dairy is New Hampshire’s newest sheep dairy. Located in the small town of Mont Vernon, they have over fifty milking ewes producing gallons of milk to make into delicious cheeses, yogurt, and ice cream. The dairy makes several types of fresh cheese including Feta, Brebis, and Ricotta and several aged cheeses, principally Manchego, Ossau-Iraty, Tomme, and Asiago.  The sheep have access to more than thirty acres of pasture and more acres of woodland for shade, and the farm follows organic practices but is not certified. They are open for tours and invite people to meet the sheep and see how they create the food to sell locally and at farmers’ markets.  They will be offering their cheeses, as well as duck eggs, goose eggs and of course lamb meat.

Blisspoint Meadery

Blisspoint Meadery makes mead, an alcohol made from honey, in Bedford MA. While mead is the oldest known fermented beverage, the meads at Blisspoint are modern and refined for the varied palates of the craft beverage era. They have over 50 unique products available, from bubbly to still, dry to sweet, light and refreshing to rich and complex, and every one of them delicious!  Come on by their booth in Lexington and find your beverage blisspoint.

Busa Farm & Markets

Fran Busa and his family have been farming for over 100 years, continuing a tradition that began in 1919. A local, family-owned farm, Busa Farm has grown and evolved over generations, expanding and diversifying the crops they produce. Today, they specialize in high-quality vegetables, herbs, flowers, fruits, as well as hydroponic greens and microgreens, offering many varieties—some newly introduced and others treasured heirlooms.

While the farm was once located on their historic family property on Lowell Street in Lexington—now preserved as Lexington Community Farm—Busa Farm continues to grow on carefully tended private plots across Lexington, Littleton, and South Chelmsford. Busa proudly accepts SNAP, HIP and WIC benefits.

Nestled within Busa Farm’s produce display, you’ll find Farmer Fran Busa’s daughter, Allie, of Busa Flora. Continuing the family’s farming legacy as a third-generation farmer and florist, Allie grows specialty cut flowers on the farm and artfully arranges them into one-of-a-kind bouquets.

Allie also runs a seasonal roadside flower stand in Littleton, MA, along with a private design studio. She offers year-round floral design for weddings and special events, as well as container gardening services for homes and businesses.

Captain Marden’s Seafood

Captain Marden’s is a fourth-generation family owned seafood company. Starting out as a small fish market in West Newton in 1945, they have grown to be a seafood distributor in MA, a fish market and restaurant in Wellesley, and a food truck as well! At the LFM, Captain Marden’s will be featuring a broad selection of fresh seafood and prepared foods including soups, chowders, dinners and pates, along with shellfish and more!

Capt. Marden’s offers two ways to preorder:

To pre-order and prepay, visit www.captainmardens.com, create an account (no fee), and see all the offerings. After you select your items, continue to the checkout page and enter “pick up at the Lexington Farmers’ Market” in the box marked Instructions. While you will be required to enter a pickup time, your order will be ready during market hours.

If you prefer to place your order over the phone, visit  www.captainmardens.com to see what is currently available at the fish market. Call the store at 781-235-0860 by 5 pm on Friday and place your order for pickup at the LFM on Saturday. You can either pay over the phone or pay at the market when you pick up your order.

Copicut Farms

Copicut Farms is a family-owned, 65-acre livestock farm located in Dartmouth, Mass. They provide the community with pasture-raised poultry, pork, lamb, beef and eggs while treating their animals and the environment with the utmost respect and care. All of their animals are raised outdoors, and have constant access to chemical-free pastures where they are free to forage for grass, legumes, and insects throughout all but the harshest winter months. In addition, they operate their own state-licensed on-farm poultry slaughtering facility. This allows them to maintain an extremely high level of food safety and ensure that their animals are treated in the most humane manner possible throughout all stages of their lives.

Freedom Food Farm

Freedom Food Farm is a 90-acre regenerative, certified organic, four-season farm
in Raynham, MA. The farm is run by Chuck Currie and Marie Kaziunas, a husband-
and-wife team of first-generation farmers. Their farm mission is to provide healthy,
nutritious food year-round to local communities in Massachusetts while
stewarding their land and soils for future generations. Since beginning to lease the
farm in 2014, they have dedicated themselves to fulfilling this mission. The farm
currently produces an abundance of food on the 90 acres including vegetables,
fruits, grains, pork, beef, lamb, chicken and eggs. As part of their mission, Freedom Food Farm
accepts SNAP, HIP and WIC benefits at farmers’ markets to address food insecurity
and increase equitable access to local food.

Hi-Rise Bread Company

Rene Becker opened Hi-Rise in 1996 with a crew of six, big ideas, and a simple goal: to make staple homey foods better than home-made. He started with bread — using organic wheat, rye, and corn from independent mills — and soon moved to pastries, incorporating extra-rich European-style butter and local fruits for pies and tarts. In store, they offer soups and sandwiches, dinners sold fresh and frozen, from pot pies and stews to lasagnas with house-made pasta. Kelley Farm is a quintessential New England hillside farm located in Shelburne, Massachusetts that has been in continuous operation by the same family for more than one hundred years. Originally operated as a dairy farm, Kelley Farm now specializes in the production of Certified Organic Asian vegetables. The current owners of Kelley Farm, Ernie and Hsiu-li (pronounced “Shoo-lee”) Kelley have many years of growing experience and are passionate about offering a wide variety of Asian and western vegetables of the highest quality, including many varieties that are virtually unavailable elsewhere. They are a small operation that takes pride in maintaining their land in a natural and sustainable manner, so that its bounty may continue to be available to them, to the customers that they serve and to future generations.

Liberty Fish is a woman-owned business bringing fresh seafood to the LFM through a decades-long partnership with Boston Sword and Tuna, a fifth-generation family-run seafood business located in the heart of the Seaport District. Knowing which boats to buy from and establishing long-lasting relationships enables BST to consistently source the best-quality products on the market, both locally and around the world. Liberty Fish provides the LFM with a wide variety of fresh seafood just hours after leaving the Seaport. They encourage their customers to use the convenient preordering system outlined below.

Petsi Pies

Petsi Pies (pronounced “peet-see”) is an independent, community-minded bakery serving up scratch made pies and pastries in Somerville, Massachusetts since 2003. Everything in the shop is baked fresh daily by using all-natural ingredients. Petsi Pies offers a regular selection of sweet pies year-round in a variety of sizes, like Classic Apple, Blueberry, Cherry Crumb, and the famous Chocolate Bourbon Pecan and Mississippi Mud Pies. Petsi Pies was the Regional Winner, United States of Pie in 2022 and named Best of Boston in 2021.

All of Rascal Relish’s products are as sustainable and low-waste as possible, using fruits directly from farmers that don’t meet the aesthetic or structural standards to be sold at full price to consumers or restaurants. In season, all produce is harvested the same day or the day before jamming, a win-win for farmers and Rascal Relish’s customers.

Stillman’s Farm

Stillman’s Farm is a family-owned and operated farm, conscientiously growing for over 30 years. Stillman’s provides local grown fruits and veggies from their hundreds of acres located in New Braintree, everything from apples to zucchini and more. Stillman’s offers a 16 week CSA program with weekly shares from mid June through mid October.

Preorder Information: $50 Thanksgiving Box. Make local produce the centerpiece at your holiday table this year with a prepacked Thanksgiving box/bag from Stillman’s Farm. Serves 4-6. Your box/bag will include a variety of Thanksgiving favorites including*: Irish potatoes, Butternut squash, Onions, Brussel sprouts, Carrots, Garlic, Cranberries, and Apples (enough for a pie)

Sueños Chocolates

Sueños Artisanal Chocolates is a direct importer of organic, shade-grown cacao from the Nueva Esperanza Organic Farmers Cooperative in Puerto Quito, Ecuador. They use Nueva Esperanza Cacao to make small-batch vegan dark chocolate bars with a variety of dried fruits, nuts and seeds. Nueva Esperanza farms are committed to growing only Ecuador’s finest ‘Nacional’ variety heirloom cacao trees, which are world-renowned for their exceptional aromas and flavors, and lack of bitterness.

Tex Mex Eats uses locally sourced products when possible to bring you the freshest bites of the season. They are committed to local and quality ingredients that complement their Mexican spices, bringing Massachusetts ingredients to life in the style of Texas in a big way. Tex Mex Eats will have tamales (fresh and frozen), red and green sauces, and cooked chili beans. It’s Texachusetts cuisine – Texas flavors, with as many local ingredients as possible! Tamales are all gluten free with vegetarian options.
